If you like car that have little power and is more fun to drive it's 1.8. If you don't need 140hp and economy is the thing then take 1.4. OK I don't really know how big difference they have in economy in real life (in the paper it's 5.9 for 1.4L engine and for 1.8L is 6.4 so difference is about 0.5litre/100km).

Vtec on 1.4 L13Z1. Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows at what rpm the vtec kicks in on this lump and whether you can even tell/feel since it's quite a sluggish thing. I haven't felt anything really but I guess I'm also focussing more on not doing an oopsy whilst giving it full whack.
